Cheryl Marino launched
her career in November, 1984 in the staffing industry. She began with
one of the largest employment companies in the industry, watching the
company grow from 23 to 90 offices. She quickly became the Top Producer
in the Permanent Division where she retained that title over her seven
years with the company. In 1992, she opened her own practice, Marino
& Associates, Career Consulting Group, which specializes in full
time staffing - from administrative support to management level. She
enjoys giving talks in the business community, where she is active in
the Chamber of Commerce, Leads Group, Networking Organizations, and
currently serving on the board of Directors as Chapter President for
the South Bay Chapter, CAPC. Cheryl believes her participation with
CAPC has strengthened her knowledge and success in the industry. She
was named Consultant of the Year in 1991 for Los Angeles Chapter,
and 1994 for the State of California. She is currently State Director
for CAPC. She is a CPC, Certified Personnel Consultant and CES,
Certified Employment Specialist in the industry. She attended Youngstown
State University where she majored in Business/Accounting before moving
to California from Ohio in 1979. When not busy placing candidates and
filling job orders, she enjoys sports, music and traveling.
